Robyn Rihanna Fenty also called Rihanna by the Barbadians is a songwriter and singer. Her hits include Pon de Replay, SOS Umbrella, and Take a Bow. Still in her prime, Rihanna has emerged as one of music's most popular artists. Her parents are born in Barbados, and she started singing in the early years of her life. To escape the tensions in her family, as well as the constant arguments between her parents, she started singing. When she was a teenager she joined a rock band. Evan Rodgers auditioned her and was awestruck. In order to earn an income as a professional musician she was asked to move to New York. Her debut album quickly was a huge success and she was hailed as a music sensation. The singer was popular among the youth for her peppy dance music, which was a hit. This led to Rihanna taking up directing. The young and gifted Rihanna has been viewed as a teenage idol and a fashion idol. Rihanna is also actively involved in helping charities and uses her celebrity status to benefit charities.
